Kyle, you spend a lot of time introducing big audiences to legends in personal and business development. I’m incredibly honored to introduce you…to The Ziglar Show audience. Thanks for giving of yourself today!

Kyle, when I asked you about your own Zig experience, you replied back with a foundational message from Zig, “Never do a good deal with a bad guy,” and said it has been some of the best business advice you’ve ever heard.

Coming from a guy who has done business with a lot of big names, this is interesting. If something is a good deal, even if those involved are questionable, it’s attractive to justify it and do it anyway. Tell us why you have experienced the folly in this.

The next question I prepped you with was in regards to how you wanted to inspire The Ziglar audience. You replied with, “I want to challenge everyone to pursue their calling in life and to be their best self, not someone else. The more we can walk in who we are authentically, and just be ourselves, the more impact we will have on others.”

In business, I’ve always been a fan of modeling what works, not necessarily reinventing the wheel. Just as I know you’d say in marketing, there are time-tested methodologies we don’t want to veer from.

But here I feel you have experienced many people losing sight of themselves and their, as Bagger Vance said, “One, true, authentic swing.” Did this play out in your own life to a degree?

So your book, 52 Lessons I Learned from Jim Rohn and Other Great Legends I Promoted! featured Brian Tracy, Jim Rohn, Vic Johnson, Paul Meyer, Zig Ziglar, Les Brown, Mark Victor Hansen, John Maxwell, Og Mandino…

Folks, I’m 45. Old enough to remember when TV had three stations plus PBS, and at 11pm all the channels went off the air. Whatever shows played on a given night were watched by one-third or more of the population.

Those names mentioned above are some of the kings of the initial, mass influence of personal development that got out to the masses — before Internet, when people filled stadiums at the tune of 30,000 and 50,000 people per event. If you don’t know the names, you know their impact. In a recent interview, Seth Godin stated that Zig Ziglar was the grandfather of all big influencers in personal and business development.

Kyle here has worked intimately with all of these people, and more.

From that, Kyle, I’m highly interested in ANYTHING you have to share.

What was a thread that ran through them all? I haven’t been privy to as many of these influencers as you have. But the ones I have, I realized…some I liked, some I didn’t. Some I’d love to sit with around a table or campfire late into the evening and talk. Others…nope. I assume it’s the same for you. While you probably had respect for them all, you weren’t personally enamored with all of them.

But what were some common threads that you saw ran through almost all, or all, of them?

You knew each of these guys to a degree, some intimately. You had heard so much of their words, read them, taken them in. But in this book, YOU…wrote it. You wrote of your experience.
